Before you Arrive

For dry cuts and styling, please come with clean, dry hair. It helps us get straight into shaping and finishing without losing time.

For colour appointments, clean or almost clean hair is best. We will always work with whatever you come in with, but when the hair is quite built up it can be harder to be as accurate and achieve the best result.

We love inspo pics. Even if they are a bit AI or not exactly realistic, visuals help us get straight to the point and avoid getting lost in describing things with words. It just makes everything clearer and more aligned from the start.

Everyone is different, and we want your appointment to feel right for you.

Some clients love to leave with a full blow wave and styled finish, others prefer something more simple like a quick dry or a dry cut. You are always welcome to choose what suits your day, your lifestyle, and your budget.

If you are unsure, we can talk it through together and tailor it to you.

Timing

Arriving on time means we can give you the full experience without rushing.

While we understand island time is a real thing, if you are running late just let us know. We will always do our best, but sometimes we may need to adjust the service or reschedule.

We also have unexpected shifts within the day at times to accommodate online booking adjustments, urgent care, and the general human things that come up. We really appreciate your patience if there is a short wait, and will always try to send a text if we are running around 10 minutes behind.

Consultation and Expectations

We will always take time to talk through what you are wanting before we start.

Our focus is on natural, wearable hair that grows out beautifully. If you are wanting a bigger change, it may take more than one appointment to get there while keeping your hair in great condition.

If you are wanting a colour and cut consultation, or planning future changes, booking in for one service and using that time to chat through a longer term plan can be a really efficient way to approach things. We love that kind of efficiency.

The Space - Can I Bring my Kids or Pets?

Yuduyu is designed to feel calm, relaxed, and easy to be in.

You are always welcome to settle in, use the wifi, enjoy a refreshment, or simply take a moment for yourself. Kids and pets are always welcome if it works within the flow of the salon and feels respectful of the space.

Whether you are here for a short visit or a few hours, we want it to feel like a small reset in your day and a space you enjoy coming back to.

Parking & Public Transport

YUDUYU hair salon is located in a new little hub on Totara road, Onetangi.

As you pull into 4a Totara there are 3 signed customer parks on the left, plus another directly under the 4A sign on the building. The parking area is shared with other businesses and at times there might be a few vehicles around peak times, pop in and check with us if you have any questions about where to park on the day.

We are located 1 minute from a bus stop in Onetangi.

Question 7

Cancellations

Life happens, we get it.

We just ask for 48 hours notice if you need to move or cancel your appointment. Late changes after 24 hours or missed appointments may incur a fee.
